Patent Attorney, Corporate Counsel The candidate will exercise and maintain authoritative technical knowledge of firm's technologies for assigned technology area(s). Will develop and implement Intellectual Property Strategies for firm's innovations, intellectual property portfolios, and trade secrets for assigned technology area(s) to support company-wide business objectives. Lead regular invention disclosure review meetings with the relevant business, organize efforts to identify inventions and develop invention disclosures, instruct inventors in legal requirements for a patentable invention. Critically review and evaluate firm's invention disclosures. Lead and moderate Patent Committee Meetings for selecting new patent filings and facilitating portfolio management. Exercise knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent laws and procedures. Initiate and maintain effective communications with researchers, business leaders and legal colleagues. Management of outside counsel, including review of patent drafting and prosecution. Assist the litigation team in addressing IP matters, including inquires and assertions.

The candidate should have J.D. Degree and member of State Bar Association. Must be Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in 2013 or earlier. Must have 5 years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution activities. Law firm experience is required, in-house experience is preferred. BSEE or BSCE/CS preferred. Other technical degrees considered with the right experience. Must have good academic credentials and excellent interpersonal skills.
