Corporate Counsel The candidate will join the Consumer Marketing legal team. Will collaborate with Marketing, CRM, Optimization, and other business stakeholders on global consumer legal issues and risks. Assist with developing efficient processes, revising and complying with company policies and procedures, IP, and business strategies. Provide timely legal marketing/advertising reviews on consumer-facing collateral. Advise on legal matters for digital commerce teams and brand & creative like: marketing retention strategies, consumer protection issues, app operations and development, member services and support scripts, social media platforms, and UDAAP topics. Help manage affiliate marketing compliance, including administering compliance tool(s), collaborating with internal teams to help determine remediation strategies, sending enforcement and/or take-down letters, and developing and improving partner processes. Draft and/or review a variety of marketing partnerships and IP agreements to ensure the effective protection, acquisition, and/or licensing of our products and/or intellectual property rights. Assist with legal advice and drafting/negotiating emerging payment processing and/or transactions. The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Should be licensed or eligible to practice law in the State of California, Arizona, or Utah. Must have 3-5 years of prior experience (either in law firm and/or in-house counsel setting) with marketing and advertising, CRM, software / technology / internet, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and contract and/or transactional negotiations. Must be willing to travel occasionally.
