Attorney - Employment & Benefits Duties: Provide day to day employment law legal advice and counsel to Human Resources for Consumer Bank, Small Business Banking and Military Banking. Manage threatened and filed employment related litigation to the Consumer Bank, Small Business Banking, Military Banking. Partner with Human Resources on enterprise wide initiatives and projects. Provide guidance and direction on policies and procedures and employee relations issues. Partner with Corporate Audit, Internal Enterprise Investigations and Employee Relations Investigations Group on various matters involving employee conduct and behavior. Promote and advise on diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the consumer lines of businesses. Draft and present training and advisory material on numerous employment law topics. Serve as subject matter expert for HR legal team on various subject matters within the labor and employment law realm. Partner with other Control Partners (Compliance, Risk) in properly advising Human Resources on legal and compliance risks. Demonstrate leadership in our communities through support of and personal participation in robust pro bono and/or community service programs. Enterprise Description: Provides general legal counsel on employment and benefits related matters, as well as specific advice on products, services and certain legal actions. Reviews legal contracts and documents. Directly, or through staff, conducts legal research. May represent the bank in legal actions. Individuals in this position typically have a minimum of six years of experience since admission to the Bar.

Requirements: Must have JD and at least one state Bar admission (active/good standing). 7-10 years of practicing with some experience or all in the area of labor and employment law. Analytical skills and strong communications skills a requirement. Ability to assess legal and other types of risks and enable Company to meet its business needs while appropriately managing risks. Strong project and time management skills. Ability to work independently. Superior communication and writing skills. Experience working in highly collaborative environments with an emphasis on teamwork and consensus building. DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with leaves of absence, accommodations and employee relations.
