Corporate Counsel The candidate will provide counsel and support primarily the Marketing team, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts in the ordinary course of business, as well as serve a key role in supporting a wide range of marketing initiatives, and advertising and promotional review. Additionally, will assist on providing legal counsel cross-functionally as needed. You are a fast-learner, adaptable, performs well under pressure, willing to roll up your sleeves and enjoys developing creative and practical solutions. Review consumer, business and brand advertising across all channels (digital, television and print) to ensure that content is legally compliant. Advise teams on marketing and promotional initiatives (email, telemarketing, contests, sweepstakes and giveaways). Provide teams with legal advice on marketing across broad areas, including consumer facing brand marketing to ensure compliance with advertising, IP, privacy, data protection and consumer protection laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements. Draft, review and negotiate marketing related contracts, with the opportunity to also draft, review and negotiate contracts for other business units as needed. Draft and develop forms, policies, processes and trainings to support scalability. Support on day-to-day management of general affairs of Legal Department. Must have J.D. from accredited law school and 3+ years of relevant experience in top-tier law firm or in-house. Member of California Bar is essential. Should have experience counseling clients in the day-to-day operation of a business. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to translate complex legal issues into plain English and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the organization.
