Senior Corporate Counsel

Senior Corporate Counsel The candidate will manage and handle complex litigation matters related to, franchise issues, development agent and franchise agreements. Responsible for managing various aspect of discovery and pre-litigation. Actively manage arbitrations and mediations. Facilitate orderly transition of non-compliant franchisees from the system. Responsible for drafting various settlement agreements, discovery requests, motions, briefs, petitions and other legal documents. Select, manage and advise outside counsel on a variety of legal matters (ADA, Advertising, Complex Litigation, Domestication of Arbitration Awards and Evictions). Perform legal research and briefing on topics affecting the system. Must have Juris Doctor degree. Should have 2+ years of experience. Admission to Connecticut Bar, ability to be admitted to the federal Bar is mandatory. Excellent research, writing, communication and presentation skills is required. Experience in mediation, arbitration, state and federal litigation is desired. Knowledge of franchising and the Americans with Disabilities Act is a plus. Experience with case tracking software, EXCEL, WESTLAW and PACER is helpful.
