Corporate Counsel & Consumer Advocacy Manager Duties: Review, analyze and draft contracts, leases and other transactional matters. Assist the Managing Counsel in oversight of litigation matters, wage claims, and other adversarial actions. Draft compliance policies. Draft settlement agreements related to consumer advocacy and other legal matters. Respond to legal and legal research questions by various business departments. Serve as lead investigator for security breaches, fraud and other non-HR investigations. Manage the Corporate Advocacy Liaison. Monitor all online review sites multiple times and respond to feedback. Identify, investigate, and resolve customer complaints. Serve as consumer ombudsman and resolve high profile disputes on behalf of company. Respond to subpoenas, draft demand and response letters and other forms of legal correspondence. Review and finalize drafts responses from formal customer complaints via the CFPB, BBB, as well as other state and federal government sources. Mediate disputes between customers and company or customers and vendors to assist them in reaching their own reconciliation, settlement or resolution. Direct the Corporate Advocacy Liaison to contact unhappy customers to determine if the organization failed, and determine if and which remedial action needs to be taken. Prepare and approve reports of summaries of consumer advocacy interaction. Develop effective professional partnerships with all colleagues. Responsible for identifying and driving changes that will be necessary to ensure continuous improvement within the production and operation process. Relay patterns in negative feedback to appropriate department heads.

Qualifications: Undergraduate Degree. Law Degree. Familiarity with mortgage process and mortgage documents. Excellent analytical ability. Ability to adapt well to change. Exceptional computer skills. Demonstrate responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning; must be a fast-paced individual. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Detail oriented. Exceptional decision making, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills required. Ability to work closely within a team structure. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
