Corporate Counsel Duties: Responsible for adapting such forms, policies and procedures, will oversee all operational and regulatory related legal matters, contractual obligations and litigation matters. Quantitative and qualitative thresholds will require the approval of Director of Latin American Legal Affairs and/or business personnel for decision making with regard to certain matters. Legal work product may be requested by the General Counsel, the President International, the Vice President of Operations International, or the Country Manager. Requests for legal work from other persons must be approved by one of the persons mentioned above. May refer certain legal matters to local Colombian outside counsel within outsourcing parameters approved by Director of Latin American Legal Affairs. Will interact daily with SBACC business personnel and will provide periodic reports to business personnel regarding matters being handled. Will report to Director of Latin American Legal Affairs, will meet regularly and provide periodic reports regarding all matters being handled. Interviewing, engaging, training, planning assigning, and directing the activities of outside counsel and independent contractors based upon project assignment, appraising the performance of outside counsel and independent contractors, and addressing complaints and resolving problems regarding outside counsel and independent contractors. Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications: Law degree required. 5 + years of experience, preferably in real estate transactions including, landlord-tenant relations, development & construction. Wireless industry knowledge preferred. Experience in regulatory compliance matters preferred. Knowledge of general corporate and litigation matters strongly preferred. Licensed to practice law in Colombia. If not licensed to practice law in Colombia, must be otherwise permitted to practice law in Colombia without being subject to discipline. Spanish as native language, but fluent in English as well. Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents and financial reports in Spanish and English. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community in Spanish and English. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors in Spanish and English. Ability to apply principles of legal and logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret abstract and concrete ideas.
