Senior Attorney - Labor And Employment The candidate will draft and edit employment agreements, memoranda of understanding, policies and employee handbooks. Will develop and conduct training on a variety of labor and employment issues regarding federal and state laws. Participate in the investigation of employment issues. Manage litigations impacting company s California operations and working closely with outside counsel to create strategies that most effectively and efficiently protect the Company s interests. Manage outside counsel to budget. Handle administrative complaints, claims and charges filed with any federal and/or state agency against Raytheon s California operations including the submission of position papers. Develop a domain knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act and related laws and statutes concerning Raytheon s bargaining unit employees and be able to provide advice to management and Human Resources regarding the same. Prepare strike contingency plans arising from negotiations of the collective bargaining agreements. Represent the Company before administrative agencies and in arbitrations arising from collective bargaining agreements. Conduct and properly document investigations. Manage multiple priorities and ensuring that deadlines are consistently met. Assess Human Resources policies and procedures for compliance with California law. Maintain professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Communicate information in a clear, concise, and professional manner, and being able to provide clarification, as necessary. Work collaboratively and independently with varied groups within a complex organization. Must be graduate of an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in at least one state in the U.S. Should have JD plus 2 years of relevant work experience. Must have 4 years of law firm or in-house experience practicing labor and employment law.
