Job Description Teva Pharmaceuticals, a leading global specialty pharmaceutical company and the largest manufacturer of generic medicines worldwide, is seeking a qualified IP litigation attorney. The ideal candidate is graduate from a top law school, a member of the bar in good standing in at least one state and is admitted to practice in federal court. Additionally, the candidate is preferably is licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, possesses significant litigation experience in ANDA/Hatch-Waxman patent litigation as well as litigation under the BPCIA, and is either admitted to practice in New Jersey or is eligible to apply for the limited New Jersey limited in-house legal license. This position is located in Parsippany, New Jersey. The primary responsibilities of this position will be: Manage substantial docket of Hatch-Waxman patent litigations and other IP litigations; Manage external counsel, including work product, budgets, and invoices; Assist in the development of claims and defenses in patent litigation; Assist in making case strategy decisions; Oversee discovery efforts for assigned North American (U.S. and Canadian) patent litigation; Attend key depositions, hearings, arguments and trials; Communicate key matters and issues to the Vice President & General Counsel, North America Intellectual Property Litigation as well as other team members and clients in the Commercial, Operations, R&D and Regulatory Affairs departments at Teva; Advise various internal business partners on all aspects of pharmaceutical, regulatory and patent law, including exclusivity periods, potential launch dates, Qualifications Six to ten years of experience litigating Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA cases with a law firm or in-house with a generic, brand or specialty pharmaceutical company. Experience taking/defending depositions and managing trials is essential. This position also requires the ability to conduct approximately 25% to 35% domestic travel.
