Managing Attorney Employment and Compliance The candidate will be responsible for overseeing employment law advice globally to ensure that firm is acting in compliance will all applicable laws and regulations covering all aspects of the employment relationship. Will be responsible for evaluating potential emerging legal compliance risks, and, as appropriate, overseeing the design and implementation of applicable compliance programs to address these risks, in coordination with the VP of Global Legal Compliance, other members of the Global Legal Compliance team and other corporate functions. Managing global Code of Conduct investigations and related employee disciplinary actions; delivery of global electronic and in-person compliance trainings;) managing outside compliance vendors; providing guidance to regional and in-house attorneys on questions relating to the applicability of firm s Code of Conduct to third-party vendors globally; and managing the global conflict of interest process. Act as primary legal contact for the Global Logistics team, working in close partnership with outside counsel and other members of the Legal Compliance team responsible for anti-corruption, sanctions and boycotts to ensure that appropriate contracts are in place with logistics service providers globally. The candidate must have Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Should have 10-14 years of experience in employment law to manage its global employment practice and to lead administration of its global legal compliance program. Must have 10+ years of experience practicing as an employment attorney, preferably in both an in-house and law firm environment. Experience conducting employee investigations and evaluating employee disciplinary matters is essential. Contract drafting experience is essential. Experience advising on and drafting compensation and benefit plans is needed. Privacy and data protection experience as it relates to employee information is preferred. Experience managing attorneys or paralegals is preferred.
