Corporate Counsel The candidate will draft and maintain a 50-state residential lease library, including support from a team of one to three paralegals. Review current and changing laws and regulations impacting residential leases and making appropriate revisions to the lease forms. Research and evaluate risk factors related to on-going and future business objectives and collaborate with and advise management as required. Work closely with business management. Support and work with other attorneys within the legal department in areas involving corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters. Negotiate agreements and the successful resolution of pending, threatened and actual disputes. Communicate with external parties, including customers, regulators, opposing counsel, public authorities, and others. Draft, negotiate and finalize agreements and other documents to protect the company and contribute to its success.

The candidate must have Bachelor's degree. Should have Law degree from an accredited law school and active Bar membership in the United States with no record of discipline. Should have 3-8 years of relevant real estate legal experience. Superlative verbal and written communication skills is needed. Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat , Microsoft Word and Outlook, and ability to learn and use proprietary matter management software is must. Mix of law firm and in-house legal experience is preferred. Corporate and transactional experience is a plus. Risk assessment and management experience is helpful. Software licensing agreement drafting and negotiation experience is an asset.
