Corporate Counsel, Employment Duties: Provide advice and training on a broad range of employment issues, including HR practices, performance management, terminations, recruiting, hiring, compensation and benefits, wage and hour and labor relations. Draft employment policies and programs that balance legal risk with business impact.. Manage claims, litigation and supervise outside counsel, if necessary. Respond to EEOC, OFCCP, Office of Civil Rights, DFEH and other state and local agency inquiries and charges. Support immigration issues, with outside counsel support, as needed. Draft training and materials related to diversity and inclusion and advise on internal creation and dissemination of statistics and data related to diversity.

Qualifications: Must have a JD Degree or equivalent degree. Must have 5-7 years of experience in a law firm working in broad-based employment law or similar in-house experience. Must be admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in California and comfortable researching and advising on employment laws in other jurisdictions. Experience interacting with the OFCCP, EEOC and state and local EEO agencies on complex matters is preferred. Experience in advising and implementing HR/employment policies, privacy, data protection, and intellectual property ownership issues in the employment context is preferred.
