Corporate Counsel (Commercial) The candidate will be reporting to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Global Chief Commercial Counsel, this is a new position within the Commercial Group of the firm Legal Team. Will be working closely with Legal Team colleagues in Corporate, IP, Compliance and Litigation/Employment, the Commercial Group provides seamless legal support for commercial issues globally. Work closely with Legal Team colleagues, teaming with them to identify, analyze, propose and implement practical solutions to legal issues across a broad range of commercial matters. Work directly with business stakeholders on specific matters as assigned, and depending on experience and aptitude may have the opportunity to act as primary counsel to growing lines of business. Focus on commercial transactions with customers, as well as vendors and distributors, and will require adroitness and versatility in dealing with IP, advertising/marketing, and other compliance and operational issues in a complex global business incorporating R&D, manufacturing, software products, SAAS services, direct sales, distribution and marketing components. The candidate should have JD degree and current Bar membership in good standing. Excellent academic credentials required. Should have 1-4 years of legal practice. Experience in a transactional area (e.g, commercial transactions, corporate, M&A) preferred; will consider other areas of experience (e.g., litigation). Demonstrated client communication/interaction experience is essential. Excellent organizational and communication skills needed. Analytical and financial skills/background a plus.
