Vice President of Risk And Corporate Counsel

Vice President of Risk And Corporate Counsel The candidate will oversee the Companys risk management department and ensure that all procedures, protocols, and strategies are fully implemented to protect the company and its assets. Maintain and renew corporate insurance policies, including property, commercial general liability, auto, excess liability, employee dishonesty, errors and omissions, construction management errors and omissions, and cyber liability for both owned and third-party managed properties. Coordinate litigation involving development, construction, and property management. Maintain a tracking report summarizing the current status of company litigation and distribute the report weekly. Review, revise, and negotiate all contract management agreements for third-party managed properties and corporate initiatives, including leases for offices utilized by property management. Provide ad hoc contract support for other departments including asset engineering and operations. Manage budget and control expenses effectively. Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Keep up-to-date on information and risk management strategies affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance. Coordinate and strategize with all other applicable department heads regarding risk management and contract review solutions company-wide. Must have Bachelors Degree. Should have 5-10 plus years of experience in risk management, contract management, and/or litigation management. JD degree preferred with transactional experience. Multi-family and/or real estate experience preferred. Audit experience preferred.
