Senior Counsel and Director, Privacy and Compliance The candidate will maintain and effective communication program to promote the awareness and understanding of new and existing compliance and privacy issues and related policies and procedures as well as educate the business on new and pending changes to global laws, regulations and standards that impact business operations, all other data privacy and security laws and regulations, and regulations applicable to the companys business operations globally. Provide consultation and support to business units and functions regarding privacy concepts, legal and regulatory requirements, information classification, best practices, and controls. Develop solutions to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies representing all aspects of the company's global business operations to include its products, product development, data collection, software, data retention, transfer and deletion. Conduct functional analysis of business processes involving the collection, processing or disclosure of personal information, identify issues and potential risks, coordinate the documentation of process improvements, development or resolution or mitigation plans, and recommend safeguards and controls. Continuously monitor, research and analyze existing, proposed and new laws, regulations and policies globally with respect to their present and future impact upon company operations. Develop, recommend, and implement strategy to minimize com Score's exposure in relation to anti-spyware and anti-virus software. Manage and review all com Score privacy policies; respond to customer, partner, vendor, third party, and consumer privacy and compliance inquiries. Respond to hotline, privacy policy, and other inquiries and complaints or alleged violations of rules, laws, regulations, policies and procedures by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures and develops and oversees a system of uniform handling of such violations. Collaborate with the Legal, IT, Information Security, business unit, and other key stakeholders on privacy and compliance matters. JD Degree from an accredited law school with strong academic record required; exception may be made to education requirement for a privacy and compliance professional with 12+ years of pertinent experience. Must have 5+ years of legal experience with 3+ years demonstrated track record of increased responsibility in corporate privacy and compliance functions. Should have knowledge of, and experience with a variety of state, federal, and international privacy, security and/or data protection laws and regulations, as well as familiarity with readiness in meeting upcoming global data privacy laws, such as GDPR, CASL. Previous experience leading privacy and compliance initiatives required. Public company experience, in-house, and/or familiarity with software or big data preferred. Previous experience and familiarity with domestic and international privacy policy laws, policies and regulations.
