Associate Corporate Counsel Business Development Duties: Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of legal work on licensing activities, business development, direct and indirect sourcing contracting and related matters with other attorneys in the legal department and other corporate departments such as operations, corporate communications, real estate/facilities, investor relations, finance and accounting, human resources, tax and treasury. Work in a team environment and draft and negotiate the legal aspects of pharmaceutical business development, licensing activities and documentation. Proactively monitor pertinent legal and regulatory trends, especially focusing on the changing environment. Advise the department members of potential legal issues, topics and legislative initiatives regarding all areas as to which s/he is responsible or informed. Embody the core values of the Company and incorporate them, whenever relevant, into talent development initiatives to further the Companys strategy for growth. Maintain clear and regular communications with the General Counsel and other attorneys, other relevant corporate stakeholders, and external constituencies.

Qualifications: JD degree from a nationally recognized law school; Admitted to the Bar of at least one state and eligible for admission to the New Jersey Bar as in-house counsel. 8-10 years of legal experience as a corporate attorney with direct experience in pharmaceuticals, and corporate transactions (eg. supply agreements, licencing agreements, development agreements) and commercial contracts. Demonstrated experience with pharmaceutical business development and licensing activities. Experience supervising legal professionals. Experience with international transactions as well as in both generics and branded/specialty pharmaceuticals are strongly desired. Skills: Solid judgment and business acumen, in addition to legal technical excellence. Ability to work comfortably in an intense, fast-paced, result-oriented environment. Gravitas and excellent communication skills necessary to engender the confidence of the all members of management Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior management, and collaboratively with other corporate functions. Strong leadership potential, interpersonal, influencing and collaboration skills. Ability to manage interpersonal relationships at all levels. Excellent organizational, written/verbal and analytical skills.
