Assistant General Counsel - Government

Assistant General Counsel - Government The candidate will interact directly and frequently with Senior Leadership and the Sales and Services Teams: setting go-to-market strategy within the Government space; leading internal and external contracting processes and pursuing continuous improvement in contracting processes and providing guidance on government-specific legal frameworks and structures (i.e., GSA Schedules and FAR regulations). Will provide guidance on products and solutions offered by the Business. Responsibilities will include serving as the Legal representative on the Leadership Team, handling the work of other attorneys and non-attorney professionals engaged in government contracting efforts, and negotiating complex deals with customers and other third parties.

The candidate should have Law degree from ABA accredited law school and membership in good standing of any State Bar; State Bar of Missouri is preferred. Should have 6-10 years of significant experience at a law firm, federal government agency, or corporate legal department. Should have experience with federal government contracting processes, procedures, and contracting vehicles. Experience representing clients in the education, healthcare, data, analytics, professional services, technology, HR or financial services industries preferred. Should have recent Financial Services industry experience.
