Associate General Counsel, Global Regulatory Compliance & Privacy The candidate will represent company before regulators and other relevant parties across the world. Lead global compliance strategy with applicable law and regulations relating to privacy, security, consumer protection, marketing, competition, and telecom, among other areas. Lead design of and implement process and documentation to support compliance function. Manage a growing team of attorneys. Advise leadership on strategic global compliance frameworks and support regulatory compliance and other counseling matters globally. Review and advise on pending and developing applicable law and regulation relating to privacy, consumer protection, and telecom, among other areas globally, working with the policy team. Collaborate with other members of the legal and policy teams on the above as appropriate. Must be flexible and willing to work on projects in other areas, including areas involving unfamiliar subject matters. The candidate should have J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar. Should have 12+ years experience as a practicing attorney. Should have 12+ years experience doing regulatory compliance work and supporting and/or litigating regulatory and compliance matters and representing companies in regulatory inquiries. Should have regulatory experience, including engagement experiences and relationships with applicable privacy, consumer protection, and telecom regulatory bodies. Should have experience learning new areas of law and regulation in a variety of jurisdictions. Should have experience developing approaches to legal challenges while providing business-focused legal advice. Should have experience leading projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
