Global Trade & Compliance Attorney

Global Trade & Compliance Attorney Duties: Support international trade (primarily sanctions, export controls, and anti-boycott) regulatory and commercial work for the Companys retail and operations businesses, including working closely with the Global Trade Legal team. Provide day-to-day advice or research on sanctions and anti-boycott regulations. Monitor and advise the business of upcoming regulatory changes. Support the development and improvement of sanctions and anti-boycott policies and procedures. Support cross-functional efforts with technology teams to implement automated solutions. Support contract negotiations with suppliers, vendors, financial institutions, and logistics companies with respect to sanctions, anti-boycott, and export controls.

Qualifications: JD Degree required and licensed in at least one state. 4 years experience in global trade and compliance, particularly with sanctions. Anti-boycott, and export controls expertise, particularly with respect to the interpretation and application of laws and regulations administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasurys Office of Foreign Assets Control and the U.S. Department of Commerces Bureau of Industry and Security. Have the ability to manage time effectively and independently while prioritizing multiple tasks. Have strong written and verbal communication skills. Have an excellent performance record in past positions. Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Have good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines. Have the ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations. Period: 4-6 months
