Global Data Privacy Counsel

Global Data Privacy Counsel Duties: Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the companys global data privacy program and policies consistent with applicable local, regional and global globally. Chair of the cross-functional Global Privacy Committee. Developing and managing the Companys privacy programs, including development and maintenance of policies and procedures, compliance materials, employee training, and monitoring and support; . Partner closely with and advise the companys HR, IT, Information Security, and business teams on privacy and data protection-related matters, including privacy by design; Conduct privacy risk and impact assessments; Review and advise on contracts related to data and data transfer; Together with business and functional heads, evaluate the impact of contractual and regulatory privacy and security requirements on business practices; Advise on the global data protection regulatory framework, including the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation ( GDPR ) and other emerging privacy laws and initiatives around the globe; and. Assist with other global compliance initiatives as needed. Qualifications: Law degree. 7+ years of experience in Privacy environment, with knowledge and experience of operationalizing privacy and data protection frameworks, principles and compliance programs; Experience working with conflicting privacy requirements across the globe; Experience advising on/implementing privacy, and preferably GDPR, best practices; Experience in drafting, implementing, and managing corporate data privacy and protection plans and policies; Ability to effectively engage with leaders at all levels and collaborate across functions to achieve workable solutions that meet business needs while effectively managing risk; Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills; Detail orientated with strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining high quality and performance under pressure; Certifications such as CIPP is beneficial.
