Senior Counsel - Legal & Compliance

Senior Counsel - Legal & Compliance Duties : Will conduct or oversee internal investigations into allegations of compliance breaches or violations of the law or Catalent policy. Develop training content on key compliance and employment risk areas; Deliver and/or cascade training on compliance and employment-related topics, latest policies, and/or procedures and assist with development of local communication materials. Assist with reporting to internal senior stakeholders and the Board of Directors or Board Committees including ensuring execution of accurate and polished deliverables within required timelines. Monitoring performance and effectiveness of the compliance program and related activities on an ongoing basis through development, collection, and analysis of key metrics. Supervise and work closely with outside counsel as needed to ensure outside counsels work is satisfactory, cost-effective, and timely. Assist with developing standard contract language addressing key compliance risk areas; assist with review and negotiation of privacy and compliance-related contract provisions. Conduct, guide and participate in legal and ethical risk assessments; develop and implement risk mitigation plans. Assist with management of commercial and employment litigation docket.

Requirements : The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience with a well-established law firm and/or corporate legal department, with a focus on compliance, dispute resolution, employment, privacy, and/or investigations. Should have record of outstanding academic achievement at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Admitted to practice in New Jersey (NJ in-house admission is acceptable). Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience desirable. Experience conducting and leading internal investigations. Should be business persons lawyer with excellent judgment, particularly in determining the significance of legal matters and effectively measuring and minimizing risks. Must have strong organizational skills in order to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously; willingness to assume heavy workload to meet timing and project needs. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to synthesize complex legal issues to essential elements for clients throughout the organization with different abilities and responsibilities. Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at many different levels throughout the Company. Must have ability to delegate and supervise, where appropriate and ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities.
