Commercial Contracts Attorney The candidate translates business strategy into work programs and processes. Directs lower-level managers or team leaders or directly manages a specialty function. Initiates and provides leadership, strategic/tactical direction and planning input on all information technology and client/business area issues and in the development of an IT environment which meets current and anticipated business requirements and objectives. Participates with IT management in the development of technology products, service standards and development efforts that impact the client/business area. Serves as a single point of contact and the escalation point between the client/business area and internal IT management for the resolution of unresolved problems, complaints and complex service requests. Provides the client areas with technology products and service alternatives that improve the IT service delivery process. Associates in this job code must manage people. Interact with management and key business clients while providing direct support to sourcing and procurement personnel, as well as defining legal strategies. The ability to assess legal risks while applying good legal and business judgment will be important. This person will often interact with internal and external business clients while addressing complex issues in an accurate, clear, and concise yet thorough manner. In this role this person will draft, review, and negotiate software services agreements, professional services agreements/statements of work for the LOB. This person will also work with legal, accounting, finance, technology, and vendor management partners to resolve various contractual issues as well as validate invoicing to ensure contract compliance. Additionally, this team member will assist with the development of a contract management system, new company solutions, new contract templates, and guidelines for Senior Leadership Team Contract Risk programs. 3+ years of relevant professional experience in commercial and contract law is desired.
