Commercial Law/Contracts Attorney (contract role) The candidate will be drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including inbound and outbound content licensing agreements, inbound and outbound technology licensing and service provider agreements, software, services agreements, sponsorship agreements, marketing and cloud services agreement and the like. Conducting legal research and advising legal and business colleagues on a broad range of subjects, including copyright, digital media law, communications law, privacy and data security law, marketing and agency representation, sweepstakes and promotions law, and IT and telecom services. Analyzing proposed legislation and regulations relevant to the content division and preparing internal memoranda summarizing same. The candidate should have excellent academic credentials, including a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Admission in good standing to a state bar (CA strongly preferred). 3-7 years' of relevant experience. Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts. Experience in privacy, intellectual property law and licensing preferred. Interest in and knowledge of media, technology and intellectual property law. Excellent oral and written communications skills, high level of professionalism and solid business judgment. Ability to manage multiple projects, to set and adjust priorities, to work under pressure, and to maintain composure and a sense of humor while doing so. Ability to work closely with other team members such as Finance, Product and Business.
