Counsel, Labor and Employment The candidate work includes: Assisting in negotiating collective bargaining agreements; Managing the administration of collective bargaining agreements, including the handling of grievances, hearings and administrative proceedings, and the oversight of arbitrations; Providing advice to clients regarding the interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and union organizing activity; Negotiating and drafting employment contracts and other employment-related contracts (independent contractor agreements, termination agreements, confidentiality agreements); Handling EEOC Charges, including drafting EEOC position statements; Managing the administration and tracking of employment agreements;Assisting with training on employment matters; Overseeing employment-related litigation and responses to document subpoenas; Providing client advice on employee relations issues; HR policy and practice review; Assisting with other miscellaneous labor/employment matters as required.

A J.D. degree and admission to state bar required. Should have 2 years of hands-on experience handling both employment-related matters and union labor-related matters in a private law firm or other reputable learning environment. Experience with production guilds (WGA, SAG/AFTRA, DGA, IATSE) a plus. Must have superior ability to analyze complex business and legal issues, exceptional judgment, strong interpersonal skills, a teamwork-oriented attitude, and proven ability to effectively juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment where handling multiple jobs simultaneously is the norm. Must be able to work under pressure with keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills and possess the ability to communicate effectively with other members of the Legal Department, clients and other business colleagues.
