Technical Compliance Counsel

Technical Compliance Counsel Responsibilities: Responsible for legal matters relating to the implementation of the technical compliance management system (tCMS) for all NAFTA entities. Will assist in running the legal and regulatory competence center for NAFTA regarding Safety, Emissions, and Vehicle Compliance. Provide legal guidance regarding CASE New Technologies (Connected, Autonomous Driving, Shared Vehicles and Electric). Coordinates and executes enforcement activities, and along with Regulatory and Government Compliance, builds up and co-leads the technical compliance team.

Qualifications: Master of Laws / JD Degree from a United States Law School. 8+ years of experience in professional roles with focus on legal and regulatory compliance topics. Prior automotive experience or similar industries is considered a plus factor as is experience working for international companies or an international law firm. Proven track record of working closely with internal and external business partners. Combination of Degree and Years of experience acceptable (minimum): Bachelors Degree + 12 years' experience / Masters Degree + 8 years' experience / PhD + 5 years' experience. Admitted to practice law in at least one US Jurisdiction and eligible to practice under Rule 9.46 of the California Rules of Court. Skills in the German language would be an asset.
