Associate Counsel, Contracts The candidate negotiates a variety of commercial contracts between PPD and third parties (client and suppliers), and in respect of these negotiations and commercial contracts: Drafts, reviews, negotiates and provides legal advice in respect of service and framework agreements with third parties. Serves as a legal advisor to PPD and its internal functions. Uses experience and expertise to identify and mitigate risks where possible in respect of PPDs contractual relationships with clients and suppliers, and ensures senior management are apprised of any remaining risks with the information necessary to make informed business decisions. Advises internal customers of risk and mitigation strategies and serves as a member of tactical or strategic planning committees. Assists in other legal matters, as requested by departmental management, and participates in committees as needed. Must have Bachelor's degree and advanced degree in law (juris doctorate or equivalent educational model in other jurisdictions). Should have previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years); or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
