Global Chief Employment Counsel Responsibilities: Advise on recruiting talent; disciplinary actions; disability and FMLA matters; discrimination; terminations, including reductions-in-force and related adverse impact and WARN issues; FLSA classifications and related employment practices and policies; OFCCP affirmative action plans and related audits; and wage claims. Advise on restrictive covenants, including hiring employees from competitors, protecting business when teams resign, and minimizing risks to Aons revenue arising from breaches of employment obligations. Prepare separation agreements and other employment-related documents. Negotiate and draft employment-related documents for Aons senior-most employees. Investigate and respond to claims of wrongful discharge and discrimination. Manage, assist with and handle matters at administrative agencies, including the EEOC and State Fair Employment Agencies; handle matters with other administrative agencies, such as OFCCP audits and DOL audits and wage-claim issues. Manage outside counsel handling employment litigation matters, including restrictive covenant litigation. Review matters with respect to Aons code of business conduct and company policies and procedures. Arrange and present training sessions for the Human Resources department.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited U.S. law school, Bar admission in Illinois. 12-15 years of strong employment law experience in a law firm or in-house legal position. Significant experience in providing counseling and advice in FLSA, OFCCP, restrictive covenant and leave of absence matters. Significant experience managing and/or handling employment litigation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. High level of self-direction and sound judgment. Ability to provide practical, timely solutions to business partners, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience managing people.
