Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Draft, negotiate, and review contracts; Prepare legal memoranda and research legal issues; Provide timely and high-quality legal services and advice to senior attorneys on a variety of legal issues; Maintain a proactive approach in helping to identify and minimize risk to the organization; Stay current on legal rules and legislation affecting ASCM; Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school; Admission to practice law in the state of Illinois or eligible for admission on proof of practice elsewhere. 0-2 years attorney experience, preferably in a corporate, in-house legal setting. Qualifications Desired: Prior international transactions and business experience; Prior related experienced in a non-profit association environment. Excellent communication, negotiation and writing skills; Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with quick response time; Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality; Strong Project Management Skills; Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines; Accurate and precise record keeping skills; Advanced proficiency with common computer programs; Good interpersonal, written/verbal communication and customer service skills to work effectively with people of diverse talent and background; Strong attention to detail; Working knowledge of office practices, procedures and business writing; Problem analysis and problem resolution at both strategic and functional levels.
