Senior Corporate Counsel, Public Sector Responsibilities: In partnership with the sales leadership team, develop and maintain an effective process for establishing contracts with public sector customers. Develop and lead implementation of the U.S. strategy for complying with regulatory and contract requirements unique to sales to the government and Federal, State and Local levels, including coordination of compliance activities across multiple functions. Develop and oversee projects for continuous improvement in government contract compliance program. Provide legal advice to the bids and proposals team in charge of managing solicitations, bids, proposals, quotations, and un-solicited proposals. Be responsible to understand government/GSA Terms & Conditions , and any special requirements of solicitations. Analyze the company s government contracts to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws Assist in bid / no bid decisions. Work with sales engineering team and other department to review proposals to make sure the company is in compliance with regulations and contractual requirements. Act as the go-to, in-house legal expert for government contracts. Provide complete legal advice and service for the development of the Public Sector (State, Local and Federal) marketplace.

Qualifications: JD Degree with excellent academic credentials. Admission to a state Bar. 10+ years of related government contracting experience. Deep knowledge and understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (the FAR) ancillary regulations issued by civilian and defense agencies or departments (e.g., GSA, NASA, DFARS etc.). A true team player with solid interpersonal skills working with peers, subject matter experts, and executives. Deep knowledge of state procurement laws and regulations, fundamental laws and principles including federal common law as applied to procurements. Experience analyzing and revising prime contracts, subcontracts, modifications, teaming agreements, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other contractual documents. Well-versed in Public Sector compliance matters, including lobbying, ethics laws and regulations (g. procurement integrity, organizational conflicts of interest, and the false claim allegations). Ability to build consensus, even for difficult or unpopular courses of action, necessitated by legal or regulatory requirements. Rigorous customer-oriented attitude, coupled with the ability to seamlessly integrate into a fluid and highly dynamic business environment. Proactive attitude, a willingness to immerse oneself in the issues of the business, and the ability to quickly become a valued contributor to the senior leadership teams. Demonstrated success working in a matrixed environment, cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders. Financial or business operations background is preferred. Government technical data rights and licensing knowledge is a plus. Contract claims and other dispute resolution methods experience is a plus. Successful track record with either a government contractor, the government, or military service is preferred.
