Assistant General Counsel - Real Estate

Assistant General Counsel - Real Estate Duties: Provide professional legal advice, counsel, support and guidance to business operations, focused on the real estate interests of the company as related to its renewable and thermal generation portfolio. Support activities by rendering legal advice to the Company s development team, operations team and land department, drafting and negotiating real estate agreements (including leases, easements, options, deeds and other documents), and supporting project financing by managing title insurance, survey and other related financing requirements. Assist with other general legal matters and various corporate transactions as they arise, and other matters of interest to the company.

Requirements: JD Degree required. 5 7 years of relevant experience required. Experience in the areas of real estate with energy-related contract development and negotiation, with a clear understanding of risks in the power generation segment, is preferred. Experience with multi-parcel real estate development is preferred. Strong organizational, time management, and oral and written communication skills. High attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality of work product. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, depending on the situation. Excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate and title curative documents. Experience in reviewing title work and surveys.
