Corporate Compliance Counsel

Corporate Compliance Counsel The candidate will support companys Absence Management business by identifying and assessing key risks in the companys operational processes and policies. Achieves corporate compliance operations objectives. Will educate and train on compliance policies and procedures. Will perform risk assessments and conduct audits that span multiple organizations to develop strong checks-and-balances. Other duties as determined by the needs of the business.

The candidate should have a Law degree from accredited law school. 7+ years of experience in corporate compliance, regulatory and privacy law required. FMLA and leave management best practices preferred. Subject matter expertise in state and federal leave of absence laws and absence management best practices. Strong knowledge base of state and federal privacy laws. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to incorporate compliance best practices into the business. Strong inter-personal skills that allow counsel to be viewed as an essential partner to various business constituencies, including sales, operations and technology. Commitment to creating and promoting a best in class  compliance culture. Ability to organize tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Puts Customers First. Improves and innovates. Uses Sound Judgment and be able to identify compliance issues that arise in the business. Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Westlaw, legislative software and on-line legislative services). Ability to keep up with new technology. Position requires up to 10% travel.
