Counsel And Global Compliance Coordinator The candidate will provide efficient delivery of legal counsel, advice and guidance responsive and supportive of firms business objectives and operations in the Americas. Develop strong, trusted relationships with business partners and external customers. Learn the drivers for the business to identify opportunities to improve customer relations and to advance our growth and protect our market positions. Collaborate with internal functions (such as Sales, Compliance, Tax, risk management, export compliance, operations) to identify and reduce risks while working to achieve business objectives. Ensure that the business maintains high standards of ethical conduct and regulatory compliance. Review contracts to identify risks (including to, financial, operational, penalties, warranties, legal liabilities, regulatory, etc.) and achieve successful negotiated outcomes with customers and suppliers. Manage outside counsel. Educate the sales force and business and operations management in understanding all aspects of compliance (anti-bribery and corruption, the firm Code of Conduct, antitrust) risks and liabilities in contract negotiation, both formally and informally. Monitor statutory and regulatory developments with potential impact on the firm business. Must have a demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines in a fast paced matrix work environment, and display a high degree of initiative, discretion, integrity, judgment, and urgency. Should possess strong business instinct, sound judgment and service orientation. Legal degree required (from a highly regarded US university); state bar admission current. Should have 3+ years of legal experience.
