Corporate and Compliance Counsel Duties: Work on a wide array of compliance, research and contract related assignments. Report to the Sr. VP and General Counsel and will participate in the ongoing development, implementation and assessment of comprehensive ethics and compliance program. Advise business partners on a broad array of regulatory matters affecting the development, administration and marketing of property and casualty insurance products. In addition, this attorney will have the opportunity to negotiate, review and draft a wide variety of general corporate agreements and support our contracts management policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with the legal, compliance and product development teams, build strong relationships, and provide counsel on laws and regulations affecting all aspects of business. help the company manage risk and conduct business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and industry leading practices. Interpret new laws and regulations by reviewing and analyzing proposed and adopted state and federal legislation and regulations. Working with business partners and the Compliance Committee, develop and implement corporate compliance policies and programs Monitor and review, revise and enhance existing policies and program Develop and deliver training content on key compliance risk areas This attorney will collaborate with the Director of IT Security and the Date Governance Lead to provide legal support regarding policies and processes related to privacy, data security and data governance. Comply with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; collaborating with business department to ensure compliance with new legislation and regulation; advising executive management team on needed actions. Analyze the performance and effectiveness of the compliance program and related activities on an ongoing basis through development, collection, and analysis of key metrics. Prepare, negotiate and review general contracts, terms and conditions, technology agreements and service agreements. General legal work to include insurance research, drafting new contracts, non-disclosure agreements and other corporate legal activities. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Requirements: JD Degree from accredited law school and membership in the MA state Bar. 5-8 years of relevant legal experience with some work experience in compliance program management highly preferred. Work experience in the property and casualty insurance industry is desirable. Excellent legal research and advanced writing skills. Strong research, analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills with ability to identify compliance risks. Sound work ethic and attention to detail. Strong business acumen. An ability to recognize, communicate and raise awareness of existing and emerging risks is critical. Schedule: 3-5 day work
