Senior Counsel Contracts The candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex legal issues and projects so that GWFs business goals are attained legally and with regulatory compliance. This includes working broadly across the organization to understand and analyze all the legal and regulatory aspects of the business issue, develop and gain approval for legal strategy to support, and implement the approved strategy. Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing service agreements (recordkeeping, trust, advisory, and other services) with large corporate, government and non-profit entities that offer retirement services to their employees. Providing daily legal support for contract management team and interact with clients, partners, advisors, internal business partners, and other Legal Dept staff on contract issues and strategic planning. Assisting with creation and maintenance of contract templates, policies, ongoing contract compliance requirements, and other documentation. Negotiating, draft, and review commercial agreements with vendors and other third party service providers. The candidate must have Law Degree. Current required license to practice law. Must have 7+ years of relevant legal experience. Should have prior experience drafting contracts and negotiating directly with large, sophisticated clients. Knowledge of the complex legal and regulatory environment of retirement services and/or insurance industry, preferred. In-depth knowledge of the retirement services and/or insurance industries preferred. Should have exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to interface with a variety of colleagues, including internal and external clients, including senior management, sales and relationship management teams, other Legal & Compliance Dept members.
