Counsel - Cyber-Privacy The candidate will provide legal advice and support to Lincoln Financial Group enterprise-wide, on all aspects of privacy and data security including consumer privacy, data transfers, data usage, data protection and cybersecurity. Will provide significant and pro-active legal support, legal project management and sophisticated guidance regarding these critical areas. Analyze and communicate changes/developments in cyber/privacy law applicable to the enterprise (legislative, regulatory, case law. Maintain current knowledge of cyber/privacy developments and trends, assess the impact, and ensure new trends/developments are appropriately incorporated into current/future strategies. Identify and communicate legal exposure and risk in a timely and proactive manner to key stakeholders. Provide legal advice and support on requirements of Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLB) Act and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Act as a subject matter expert who will be sought after for advice, counsel, and judgment Provide legal advice and support on requirements related to global data privacy requirements. Research, analyze and advise on emerging Data/Cyber regulations at the federal and state levels, such as NY DFS Cybersecurity regulation. Provide legal advice and support to business areas on the development, implementation and oversight of policies and procedures to protect and secure Lincoln Confidential Information. Support strategic initiatives of the Enterprise regarding digitization, data analytics, and data usage. Lead and collaborate with Information Security, Human Resources and other Legal staff related to data loss prevention escalations. Review and draft language for RFPs, contracts and other legal documents related to data privacy and data security requirements; negotiate arrangements related to the use and collection of personal information. Assist in all regulatory privacy and/or cybersecurity examinations and provide related support for other internal Lincoln examinations. Directs outside cyber/privacy counsel as appropriate.

The candidate should have Law Degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Must have Licensed in good standing to practice law. Must have 5+ Years of legal experience. Must have 3-5 years experience counseling financial services companies regarding cybersecurity and privacy. Experience with large, diverse and complex financial institutions strongly preferred. Information Technology experience or education preferred. Experience with PCI Compliance preferred.
