Attorney - Enterprise Litigation The candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel concerning litigation throughout the enterprise. Ensures the company's activities are conducted in compliance with the applicable legal framework and firm's Risk Appetite. Foreseeing, mitigating, and managing legal risks. Apply advanced knowledge to mitigate legal, regulatory, compliance and litigation risk to firm. Engage and collaborate with other legal experts within the company and at times outside counsel. Work with outside counsel or contract professionals to complete assignments. Provide solution oriented legal advice and counsel to internal clients to support business objectives. Assist more senior attorneys in providing advice and counsel on highly complex matters. Analyze the application of laws and regulations and preparing recommendations and/or documents to support the organization. Apply advanced knowledge regarding relevant business, industry, and area of legal specialty. Handle complex negotiations, drafting and document creation, and matter resolution. Ensure escalation of matters presenting more significant risk to more senior attorneys. Assist more senior attorneys with the preparation of defense positions for highly complex litigation. Participate in and may lead cross function initiatives. Serve as a resource to less experienced team members. Provide research, factual information, counsel and guidance on legal questions or issues, in support of more senior attorneys. Perform all other tasks as assigned.

The candidate must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. 4+ years of legal experience. Must be admitted to the practice law in one state or a territory of the USA. Active member and in good standing of the Bar in at least one state or territory is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and applicable software is mandatory. Experience with bad faith litigation involving personal lines insurance claims, alleged failure to reasonably settle injury claims, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, and property damage claims is preferred. Well-developed understanding of insurance claims handling practices and experience analyzing claim files for personal lines insurance products is a plus. Significant experience handling a complex litigation docket is an asset. Experience with commercial litigation involving banking, securities, life insurance products, or commercial contractual disputes is beneficial. Excellent proficiency with rules of civil procedure and evidence, e-discovery processes, and institutional document production and retention issues is desired. Demonstrated ability to make decisions on complex litigation issues and communicating with senior level clients is preferred.
