Associate General Counsel - Government Programs The candidate will partner with Medicare and Medicaid executives; their teams; and the functional areas that support those lines of business, to successfully develop, drive and accomplish strategic and general business initiatives, while counseling on a variety of business, operational, contractual and regulatory matters, in dynamic environment. Should have a JD degree and license to practice law in the state in which the role is located, or the eligibility and ability to become licensed in that state (whether through examination, motion or the in-house counsel program) within six months of employment. Must have 8-10 years of experience counseling entities on Medicare and/or Medicaid-related legal (regulatory and contractual) matters. Proven ability to successfully advise business teams on complex legal and related business and operational matters is required. Experience successfully engaging with state or federal regulators on health care/managed care matters is needed. Expertise in managed care (payor, provider or adjacent) business operations is essential. Expertise in the managed care regulatory environment is required. Expertise in health care laws, regulations and other standards affecting payors, providers and other entities (e.g. PBMs) is a must. Experience supporting payor/provider contracting is preferred. Experience advising entities on Medicare and/or Medicaid clinical (medical/care management) matters is desired.
