Insurance Defense Attorney

Insurance Defense Attorney The candidate handling own cases from beginning to end, will also prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, and be involved in negotiating settlements. Will work closely with claims team to ensure all appropriate defenses are leveraged to reach positive outcomes. Prepare pleadings, discovery and necessary court documents. Prepare timely structured reports on litigation developments to claims partners. Obtain, review and analyze written discovery and depositions. Communicating and collaborating with assigned claims partners and legal support staff while maintaining excellent relationships. Assess value of claims and risks of exposure. Should have Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Florida is required. Arbitration, appraisal, breach of contract and previous court room experience preferred. Should have time management, organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload, working with an electronic diary and Microsoft Excel.
