Employment Counsel

Employment Counsel Responsibilities: Advise the business on a broad range of employment issues, such as recruiting, hiring, benefits, payroll, performance management, compensation and termination issues. Oversee international employment matters and help implement policies and agreements to support our global expansion. Support investigations concerning potential violations of applicable policies or laws. Manage litigation in coordination with appropriate business teams and outside counsel. Recommend and implement scalable employment policies and practices that balance legal risk with business impact. Conduct employee training on corporate policies, employment best practices, and other topics. Maintain a working knowledge of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA and FLSA, and apprise the business of relevant updates to labor and employment laws. Draft, review, and analyze employment-related agreements, including consulting, severance, incentive compensation, and confidentiality agreements.

Qualifications: 4+ years as an attorney at a respected law firm and/or in-house JD Degree from a top-tier law school Active member of at least one state bar (California preferred). Strong analytical skills and high ethical standards. A willingness to work on projects that are new or unfamiliar. An ability to work independently and to navigate complex, sensitive issues. Excellent written and oral communication skillsAn approachable, friendly, and professional demeanor.
