Staff Counsel-DCS Contracts The candidate will be responsible for supporting senior members of firm's Legal Department and business leaders in the Dedicated Contract Services business unit by negotiating, drafting, and reviewing sell-side and buy-side agreements including transportation agreements, outsourcing agreements, technology agreements, commercial leases, equipment purchase agreements, and various other types of business agreements. Will assist with the negotiation, drafting, evaluation, and finalization of commercial agreements in a timely manner. Develop and leverage internal and external relationships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals. Balance multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting tight implementation timelines. Assist with the provision of legal, compliance, and insurance advice to business leaders in the Dedicated Contract Services business unit. Provide support and assistance to senior members of firm's Legal Department. Assist in the direction of legal support for business transactions and projects involving risk. Identify, assess, and manage risk to the company. Participate in other duties as assigned. The candidate should have Doctoral degree (Juris Doctor) from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. Experience as a law clerk or legal extern in a corporate legal department and/or an undergraduate business degree or other business experience is strongly preferred. Must be licensed to practice law (and in good standing) in at least one jurisdiction. Candidates preparing to take a bar exam may be considered, contingent upon passing the bar and obtaining a license to practice law. Must have excellent organizational skills, writing skills, listening and oral communications skills, diplomacy, finesse and interpersonal skills.
