Senior Corporate Counsel, International Trade / Export Control

Senior Corporate Counsel, International Trade / Export Control The candidate will develop, implement and support all aspects of an export control compliance program. Will develop policies, procedures and trainings, as well as recommend creative solutions to simplify existing processes. Meet with firms various engineering sub-teams to review their technology and determine appropriate classifications.

The candidate should have a JD degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one State Bar. Should have 10+ years of working on international trade matters, with an emphasis on export control matters (EAR and ITAR). Experience with cutting-edge technology, particularly involving multiple hardware and software engineering disciplines such as satellites, robotics, aerospace or telecommunications essential. Experience developing, implementing or revamping an export control program needed. Experience managing other international trade attorneys and/or international trade compliance professionals essential. Experience and knowledge with other international trade areas (e.g., imports / exports) needed. Experience simplifying complex technical and export control issues for executives essential. Experience working with policy teams to evaluate and advocate for export control reform needed. Strong written and oral communication skills required.
