Corporate Counsel, Product Compliance DUTIES: Will be part of a team responsible for counseling data center business on a broad range of health & safety, environmental, trade, and products regulatory and compliance matters. Will work directly with various business functions - including the supply chain, procurement, engineering and product functions - to support the global procurement, manufacture, transportation and distribution of data center equipment and retail hardware products, and the global provision of web services. Principal duties include (i) providing day-to-day advice on regulations concerning the design, development, manufacture, operation, procurement, distribution and disposition of data center equipment and cutting edge devices, and the provision of web services; (ii) monitoring and advising the business of upcoming regulatory changes; (iii) formulating, implementing, and maintaining applicable regulatory compliance policies and processes; and (iv) providing compliance-related legal support for commercial transactions. Qualifications: A JD Degree and membership in one state bar is required. 3+ years of experience providing legal counsel and support for product compliance or similar regulatory matters. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with technology-related product regulatory compliance. Experience with environmental and technical regulations attaching to the manufacture, sale, distribution, use and disposition of products including consumer devices, including EU regulatory requirements such as the EMC, RoHS, and WEEE Directives. Must have 3+ years of legal experience advising on products compliance issues or similar regulatory issues (e.g. environmental or telecommunications compliance). A combination of law firm and in-house experience. Ability to work both independently and as a part of a cross-functional team. Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor. Must be enthusiastic, and enjoy working hard, being challenged, and working in a fun, team-oriented environment. They must also demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
