Associate General Counsel, Intellectual Property Duties: Lead and support all Intellectual Property aspects of Pharmaceuticals projects of varying degrees and nature. Work collaboratively across a broad range of people developing and maintaining strong working relationships between legal, finance, human resources, investor relations and other functions to facilitate a team based approach. Evaluate IP risks for launch of generic molecules under Hatch-Waxman. Evaluate IP risks for launch of biosimilars. Work with project teams and leadership to identify opportunities and balance risk. Juggle simultaneous projects and priorities. Proactively communicate and manage expectations with multiple constituencies. The candidate will hold a law degree and will have obtained an undergraduate degree from a college or university of recognized standing. Will be licensed in good standing to practice law in at least one state and one federal jurisdiction within the United States without any instances of suspension, revocation, censure or other adverse events in any jurisdiction. Will be licensed in good standing to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Will have a successful track record of experience, ideally gained in a combination of working in a major law firm and in-house corporate legal department. Prior work experience with a Pharmaceutical company is preferred. Should be comfortable with the technology surrounding both small molecule and large molecule (biologic) drugs. An undergraduate or advanced engineering or science degree in the chemical or biologic arts is required. A seasoned, successful and proven Intellectual Property Attorney with significant pharmaceuticals and related experience. 10+ years of relevant experience. Extensive and sophisticated pharmaceuticals training and experience with a top tier law firm. Ideally brings a combination of both law firm and in-house. Additional exposure and experience from the pharmaceuticals industry, parameters and implications are highly desirable. Demonstrated management experience, including managing relationships with a diverse group of senior executives, cross functional teams and legal personnel in multiple jurisdictions. Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills, oral and written.
