Senior Legal Counsel - Corporate Duties: Support analysis and execution of strategic partnerships, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and investment activities. Assist in handling corporate governance and structuring initiatives; Team with other members of legal team to provide thought leadership and advice to various internal functions, including negotiation and execution of strategic partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, investments, and other transactions; Work seamlessly with tax, finance, HR functions to provide practical, actionable advice; Take ownership of discreet legal initiatives as they arise based upon changing business priorities; Be experienced in quickly and independently spotting issues, managing complex transactions and drafting partnership, alliance, acquisition and investment documents; Contribute to developing and maintaining Legal Team intellectual property, including template forms and other materials; and Performing other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate degree (JD Degree) in Law from an accredited law school and admitted to practice; 10+ years of corporate experience with international exposure; 5+ years with a reputable law firm; prior relevant in-house experience preferred; Excellent written and oral communication skills; English fluency. Have a broad experience in corporate legal matters, including managing strategic programs and transactions; Superior analytical skills and creative problem solving ability, with an appreciation for striking a practical balance between business and legal objectives; Talent for absorbing new skill sets and areas of expertise quickly and comfortably and the flexibility to deal with a diverse international set of clients and advisors; The ability to quickly comprehend complex sets of international laws and regulations and interpret those laws within the context of global policies; and A positive, dynamic, client-focused approach to legal practice. Perform successfully and produce results in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, client-oriented environment. Be a pragmatic, high-energy professional, with personal and professional self-confidence. Being proactive, hardworking and a team player who leads by being persuasive and credible and has the interpersonal skills necessary to build relationships throughout a loosely structured organization.
