Corporate Counsel Duties: Prepare, review and negotiate a variety of contracts to support all aspects of the business, including agreements with customers, suppliers and service providers. Work independently and with outside counsel on various real estate matters. Assist general counsel and other in-house counsel in M&A transactions and due diligence projects. Advise the company and senior management on a broad range of legal issues and federal and state regulatory and compliance matters, including identifying areas of risk and making suggestions for improvement. Keep informed of industry-specific trends and regulations and ensure that appropriate risk management strategies are in place including updating contract terms. Supervise paralegal on a variety of legal matters. Prepare and present company training on relevant legal topics. Applies safety policies to improve practices. Determines and explains the potential risks of injury to others and/or liability to the company as a result of changes in programs or processes. Listens and anticipates customer needs and aligns ACBL processes to accommodate them. Look for new business opportunities. Builds a team approach to have programs and processes that improve customer satisfaction. Learns and understands the issues and needs impacting the customers business. Leverages management information systems and other resources to meet business needs. Analyzes data and utilizes information to identify issues, root causes and implement solutions. Considers broader implications of business solutions before implementing. Produces timely decisions. Examines strengths, weaknesses and competitive position in the marketplace, and develops objectives and strategies. Collaborates with others to create connected strategies that achieve and sustain a competitive business advantage. Assures tactical alignment of strategies within the department. Models and encourages ethical behavior that is consistent with the organizations Code of Ethics. Establishes and exemplifies ethical standards to support products, services, financial conduct, relationship, and personal behavior. Assure processes to encourage and support employees respect, appreciate, and value individual differences as catalysts for creativity and productivity. Sets and frequently attains individual stretch goals, achieving business results and learning from them. Willingly makes personal sacrifices in order to reach a goal. Exercises initiative to anticipate and overcome barriers to success. Works collaboratively to help others meet their goals. Monitors for cross-functional change opportunities and works with peers to maximize results. Challenges the status quo by assessing opportunities and implementing actions to maximize them. Allows and encourages individuals to question standard assumptions and procedures in a constructive way. Communicates the positive value of change to key stakeholders. Leads and requires team members to participate in the Career development, Annual Performance Review, and Individual Development Plan process. Is actively involved in growing high-performance behaviors of the team. Ensure that the hiring methods, model and processes are in place to assure a top talent standard. Develops conflict management skills.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school is required. Current license to practice law. Proficient using MS Office and Google software products required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer relations skills. Detail-oriented, analytical with excellent organizational skills. Understands the implications of decisions and actions on segments of the organization. Participate as part of a team to facilitate strategic initiatives. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are required. Must have the ability to manage large projects and drive them to completion. Must be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
