Senior Counsel, Litigation and Employment The candidate will be responsible for leading and managing specialist legal advice in support of firm's operations. Will be responsible for ensuring that the specialist legal advice within Litigation & Employment Americas, is provided in a high-quality expert manner that is strategically focused to protect, support, and enable firm's strategic goals. This will involve an agile approach to prioritization of resources (both internal capacity and use of external budget), according to an appropriate clear and simple operating model that contributes to the overall transformative firm's Legal operating model, to ensure cost-effective provision of high quality legal advice/support. Partner with the other direct reports to the Legal Director Americas and the Litigation & Employment Legal team in the UK and ROW to ensure the appropriate provision of specialist advice/support. Development of the Litigation & Employment team to provide career and personal development opportunities, agile working, and a strong sense of personal identity for the Litigation & Employment team. Direct litigation of over 200+ cases totaling $500M+ across region, including tax, intellectual property portfolio enforcement, and licensing. Managing the Litigation & Employment legal support in the Americas with accountability to the Americas Legal Director to ensure high quality legal expertise, and strong advice working in partnership with other key stakeholders in the business, to contribute to the development of firm's strategic objectives. Developing brilliant operational practices and behaviors across the Litigation & Employment team.

The candidate must have 10 years of experience in advising on complex legal issues in large corporate organizations in employment law. Must be an experienced lawyer with expertise in advising on complex legal issues at senior levels. Must have proven experience driving concepts to deliver longer term vision with the ability to cut through barriers to bring real clarity and focus to delivering for customers. Must be expert in their field with experience of and credibility in engaging with the legal Industry in a wider sense. Experience of mitigating risks, implanting best practice and following strict governance procedures is required. Overall broad legal knowledge (commercial law, litigation, & IP law, etc.) and in-depth understanding of how legal issues affect technology organizations is required.
