Director, Regulatory Compliance Counsel

Director, Regulatory Compliance Counsel The candidate will ensure compliance with all Consumer Federal Protection Bureau (CFPB) requirements, federal, state, and agencies rules and regulations. Assist in the implementation of the companys compliance policies and procedures for the Residential Servicing Department. Provide day-to-day compliance support to the Residential Servicing Department and the management team. Coordinate activities to/from the Legal Department and the Residential Servicing Department. Serve on the Residential Servicing Change Management Process and be an active participate in the change meetings. Respond to loan-level management compliance questions and assist the servicing management staff. Provide Legal Department assistance in prompt correction of compliance deficiencies that are identified by any internal or external agency. Maintain competence in consumer protection laws and regulations governing residential mortgage activities, including TILA and RESPA, FDCPA, ECOA, FCRA and other applicable law and rules. Assist in the review and redlining of process and procedures and job aides. Monitor emerging compliance issues and assist in assessing the potential exposure of Freedom Mortgage. Assist with onsite and offsite audit review and required responses. Provide additional support to the Residential Servicing Department as directed by the Chief Compliance Officer. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must have Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree. 8+ years prior residential servicing compliance experience is required.
