Senior Counsel (employment / Generalist)

Senior Counsel (Employment / Generalist) The candidate will report to the Head of Legal and focus on managing labor and employment matters, while also supporting the legal team and company on other general legal matters. Will provide advice and day-to-day legal support for the Human Resources department, including regarding compensation and benefits, terminations, leaves of absence and accommodations, workplace safety, and general risk assessments across U.S. and global offices. Manage and update employment policies and handbooks to comply with applicable laws and regulations. Collaborate with the Human Resources team to generate and implement training on employment law topics. Manage workplace investigations, disputes and litigation related to employment matters. Draft and revise employment-related agreements (including offer letters and separation agreements). Assist, where needed, with other legal matters, which may include general litigation, corporate, transactional, intellectual property and commercial matters.

The candidate must have Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Admission to California Bar is essential. Must have 3+ years of experience practicing California employment law (litigation and/or immigration experience a plus). Interest in becoming a corporate generalist, with an emphasis on employment law is essential. Must have excellent written and oral communication and exceptional attention to detail. Superior analytical, problem solving and risk analysis skill is essential.
