Contracts Counsel

Contracts Counsel The candidate will negotiate, draft, review, and revise contracts with customers and strategic vendors and suppliers. Lead and manage the contract strategy process, including improving the existing framework and procedures for drafting, executing, storing, and maintaining customer and vendor contracts. Manage the Contract Strategy function, including providing advice and regular feedback to and aiding in the development of team members. Provide practical legal advice that aligns with overall business strategies, including ability to be nimble and navigate the varying risk appetites of the business.

The candidate should have JD degree, outstanding academic credentials and an active license to practice law. Must have 4-5 years of experience. Large firm experience strongly preferred. Prior supervisory or management experience helpful. Active Minnesota license to practice law is strongly preferred. Demonstrated understanding of drafting, negotiating, and analyzing complex commercial contracts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills essential. Familiarity with a wide-range of commercial legal agreements. Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing shifting priorities. Effective communicator who can build positive business relationships and work well in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
