Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property, Privacy And Data Products

Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property, Privacy and Data Products Responsibilities: Define and execute intellectual property strategy, and manage all aspects of intellectual property program including develop processes for invention capture and prosecution of patent applications. Develop procedures to protect marks and branding, copyrights, trade secrets, and data assets. Partner closely with engineering and business teams to develop data products and utilize data resources. Work with your team to ensure compliance with domestic and international privacy regulations, and work closely with the Compliance team to ensure appropriate monitoring and testing. Stay abreast of developments in financial services that may affect competitive positioning and products. Draft agreements and negotiate deals with partners related to data protection and data products. Manage outside counsel on intellectual property, privacy, and data matters. Qualifications: Admission to practice in at least one US jurisdiction and before the USPTO. 7+ years working experience in a combination of law firms and technology companies, with a track record of strategic protection of intellectual property assets and understanding of data resources. Exceptional judgment and integrity, ability to handle complex matters independently and take a very solutions- and product-oriented approach to your work. Creative disposition and solutions-oriented approach to lawyering that draws on a combination of experience and intuition coupled with validation of assumptions and the law. Management experience or high potential and ability to build a world-class team. Entrepreneurial and ability to work across various modes of communication; strong sense of purpose; enjoy working cross-functionally with colleagues in a low-politic environment.
